ISLAND, I LOVE YOU
The frst action Island , I love you! took place at the Porat bay on the west side of the island of Biševo on September 13 2003. A great part of the island Biševo was burnt that summer and the group

decided to shoot a music video for one of their songs there. Tovareća Mužika, a folk ensemble from the village Sali on the island Dugi otok, arrived to Biševo; they brought three olive trees and planted them. Although the wind was strong and the sea was wild, 250 people came there and witnessed the beginning of the movement.
The small island Biševo symbolizes all major problems of islands. As much as it is beautiful and unique, it is also devastated, burnt, neglected, and visionless. Once, seven villages of Biševo inhabited 500 people and now there are seven inhabitants during winters.
Islands, which were once dense spots of life, today live for a few months during the tourist season. Most of them have one ferry line a day with land. There is water when there is rain.
The goal of the movement Island , I love you! is to bring to the island during grey winter time some new faces, to gather people from other islands, and as much as possible to honour local tradition and to help in many ways to programme these days as rich as possible.
At the Forum Island , I love you! the group discusses different problems and through media send signs of life during winter.
Till now they organized six actions (St. Nicolas on Vis, Poklad on Lastovo, Easter in the villages of Hvar) and there are three more in front of them (Kali-Sali, Susak - Lošinj - Cres, Elafti).
As this year's Eurokaz deals with neighbourhood, the festival joined this action and invited a group from the island Brač with their show Cimer fraj and their suite from other islands. They use the culture as a path to wake up sleepy and neglected environment. Šušur Bol speaks through theatre about their problems and they will present it on the stage of the Kerempuh theatre. Eurokaz is their chance to say out loud from land what they have been shouting from their islands.
